FreeBSD and Astronomy

Hi All,

Just wanted to share a picture of my FreeBSD laptop running my astronomy photometry program (https://github.com/blackhaz/MetroPSF). This is a recurrent nova, T Coronae Borealis, together with a Main Belt asteroid Pallas captured in one shot yesterday night. I am processing and contributing observations every night, and all under FreeBSD.

FreeBSD is an amazing desktop platform for Python software development. I have also been running astronomical research projects quite successfully on it, including simulating orbital evolution of asteroids and authoring a LaTeX paper (https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/abs/10.1002/asna.202013817) I cannot be more happier with the choice of the OS for all this work.

Astronomical thank you to all people for making such a wonderful system.
