FreeBSD13-RELEASE installed as OS. Both Cinnamon and XFCE installed and run just fine. I prefer Cinnamon (therefore not using 'slim' to choose which), the point being .xinitrc is the file to edit to choose which desktop to use. But not the point of this question...
ALSO installed virtualbox-ose, virtualbox-ose-additions, and tightvnc. IF I edit .vnc/xstartup and modify the last line:
twn & #default last line, but substitute with....:
startxfce4 & #xfce works via VNC! (The ONLY reason xfce installed is successful remote access)
cinnamon-session & #some crummy screen, output looks similar to Xorg -configure
exec cinnamon-session & #some crummy screen, see above
I'm STUMPED as to how to get Cinnamon to work via VNC, which DOES work if I don't login remotely.
Guidance please, and thanks!
