Solved FreeBSD 11 with out proxy

Hello, I am trying to connect to Internet and of course to the FreeBSD ports from my computer in my work, I am not using proxy at least when I used windows, now with FreeBSD is not working, I have the same IP, netmask and router (gateway in windows I guess). Should I need to add something else in /etc/rc.conf ?

On what is FreeBSD installed? On a plain machine, a VM, something else? Are you on a corporate network? Home network?

my dear SirDice has been long time, I forgot my old username but that is other thing. Back to this, it is a plain machine and in a corporate network. I already called to the network security agent and he showed me I have "free" access to outside, in fact it was working with windows but know that I have installed FreeBSD I do not get it work yet.

Nothing different would need to be configured, an IP address, netmask, gateway and DNS servers. Can you ping the default gateway address? Can you ping any address outside your network?

but DNS is going inside /etc/resolv.conf right?

Yes, DNS settings go in /etc/resolv.conf. IP address and netmask is set with ifconfig_<interface> in /etc/rc.conf. The default gateway is set with defaultrouter and is also in /etc/rc.conf.

You know this is not my first time running FreeBSD but for some reason you give me the idea of checking DNS and the nameserver was commented (#) inside of /etc/rc.conf now its working. Thanks
