Fraud at Freebsdmall shop?

Hello,
I ordered a few t-shirts and some other accessories in March of this year, which were supposed to be delivered to the EU. I paid with my credit card and have the corresponding transaction in my account history. However, I still haven't received my items. I tried to contact them several times via email, but no one bothered to respond. Unfortunately, I didn't keep the email with the order confirmation, as I never imagined that someone even remotely associated with the BSD community could engage in deceitful practices ;-). Perhaps my only option left is to file a complaint with the FTC?

I would appreciate any help.

As you paid by creditcard, aren't you insured against such things by the creditcard company? Take it up with them to get your money back.

Contrary to popular believe, the FreeBSD community consists of regular people. While there is some statistical bias, we still got the whole bunch: We have smart people, we have socially awkward people, we have racists, we have criminals, we have xenophobes, we have people of different religions, ethnic groups and so on. As such, we also have people that have less of a problem to screw over people. What I mean to say: We are people. We do what people do. People do stuff that makes other people go like "WTF?!".

That being said - I don't mean to indicate that this was the case in your scenario. Sometimes things can go wrong, sometimes it truly is a scam. Given that FreeBSDMall is still publishing updates and relatively recent products (such as 13.2-RELEASE), I would continue to try to get in touch. Maybe try to call them.
Maybe you can log into the shop with your account and check the order status? Acquire a shipping/tracking number or similar?

Is it the right website? Sometimes there are fraudulent sites that look identical. Though, I don't think FreeBSD is big enough for fraudsters to have an identical site to FreeBSDMall. Maybe it's in the mail?

FWIW, Google search says "FreeBSD Mall Inc is permanently closed". I don't know if they are right or how they decided this.
