Fluxbox: Fonts required?

I recently installed Release-9.1 via source upgrade onto an IBM T40 notebook. x11/xorg-minimal did not appear to install any, and neither did x11-wm/fluxbox. As a result, /var/log/Xorg.0.log reports an empty font path. And flubox writes a core dump and crashes.
[cmd=]Xorg -config xorg.conf -retro[/cmd] suggests X is working, with a working trackpad even.

Before posting config and log files, I wonder if I just simply need to install some fonts and if so, are there any recommended "minimal" font ports?

I suggest x11-fonts/xorg-fonts. Actually, I suggest just x11/xorg to get everything a typical X installation expects anyway.

Thanks, that did it. I was hoping for a slimmer footprint with xorg-minimal. But, oh well. I deleted the meta-port and installed the full xorg meta-port. It works.

I always use x11/xorg-minimal but I also install net/rdesktop and net/tsclient. The rdesktop port seems to pull in pretty much every font you need.
