Interesting thread much of which I don't understand, although I'll probably refer to it in future as I have a lot of USB sticks. The one I'm referring to here is probably no longer usable. When I plug it in it flashes constantly without stopping. I'll try to dd it to a file, but suspect nothing will get transferred.
