FBSD Host Compiz Fusion - VirtualBox Guest Slow

Any help or comments would be appreciated.

Using gnome, whenever compiz-fusion is enabled, then installing and booting Windows 2000 are extremely slow in virtualbox. The install and boot does suceed after a long time.

I have tried many things, but the only actions that make Windows 2000 run normally are (1) Booting Windows 2000 into safe mode; it then boots normally and runs normally for safe mode. (2) Turning off compiz-fusion; Windows 2000 runs normally all of the time.

When compiz-fusion is turned on, the Windows 2000 system runs much better after the 'Starting up...' screen has finished, but as previously stated, the boot time is too long which indicates a problem.

The same system runs NT4 just fine when compiz-fusion is turned on.

I have tried installing Windows 2000 with compiz-fusion not running, and then turning it back on and the slow, slow behavior is the same.
