MATE Error message - Icon

This problem is actually trivial, but it does bug me a bit. It just ain't right.
After upgrading to FreeBSD 13.0-RELEASE-P4, when MATE starts, I get the following error message from XFE: "Icon path doesn't exist. Icon theme was set back to default. Please check your icon path.", and everything starts and runs as before.

And, of course, I don't know enough yet to track this down.

Any suggestions from the group?

I upgraded to FreeBSD 12.2-RELEASE-p12 amd64, and have the same problem with XFCE.

Not sure how to fix this, any advice?
