Enlightenment, Cannot add Applications or Favorites

Anyone having trouble adding applications or favorites to the menus using the GUI tools? I go through the motions, but nothing ever shows in the menus. I added the enlightenment terminal program to the favorite menu, and the GUI showed me the green dot. When I opened the favorites menu, again, nothing was there.
 
When I first tried adding things to some areas like on the taskbar on the bottom of the screen, I thought it wasn't adding anything, but found that it was just not showing anything there because the particular items didn't have icons to display and for some reason Enlightenment didn't use a "there is no icon" icon.
