I want to edit the list of window manager types, that is I want to list lxde, gnome, gnome classic, xfce, icewm, fvwm2 ONLY. I want to remove the references to openbox. How do I do this?
It has to be a simple text config, no??

If I'm not mistaken it simply lists the files that are in /usr/local/share/xsessions/.

Yes, the session list is populated by looking at the contents of the /usr/local/share/xsessions directory. In here you’ll find files with the .desktop extension. These .desktop files contain basic information on what this menu item will launch. Removing (or renaming) one of these files will take it off the sessions list.
