Disable wake-up on lid 🤷‍♂️

For some unknown (for me) reason if my laptop goes to sleep it only wakes up closing and reopening the lid, most of the the time it does not even work.
I'd like to disable wake-up on lid and wake-up the laptop doing something else, such as touching the keyboard or press power, how can I do that?

Thanks... 🙏

You can try to S4 (suspend to disk) instead of S3 (suspend to ram). Like setting suspend to S4 when close the lid (hw.acpi.lid_switch_state)

Also you can check the settings in the BIOS.

Thank you, I don't have any LID options on my BIOS unfortunately, I'll try with your suggestions, thank you very much! 🙏

I tested the system with acpiconf -s and the laptop properly resumes by pressing the power-button; I do believe the issue is on the XFCE4 power settings that launches the wrong signal to put the laptop to sleep...

Can the hardware move from S3 to S4? Within an hour I can still wake up the laptop through the power button; afterward it doesn't wake from the power button anymore, if I press it the laptop gets stuck and I have to force a reboot; otherwise I have to close the lid and reopen it, and the laptop is able to wake up properly. This behavior really drives me crazy... 😵
