Xfce Desktop issue after upgrade

Hi,

After the upgrade of my system from 10.0 to 10.1, a shaded bar has appeared on the lower area of my desktop

It doesn't seem to be a panel (I'm using cairo-dock); any ideas?

The pc is an old dell d820 laptop with nvidia gpu and a 1920x1600 panel.

thanks and best regards,
Fabrizio

I have no idea, but maybe running x11/xprop gives more information about where it is coming from?

Run xprop in a terminal then click on the shaded bar and post the output.

I could be mistaken, but this looks like a compositing artifact to me. Are panel shadows being used here?(It's hard for me to tell by looking at the attached picture) If so, turning them off may correct this. Otherwise running deskutils/cairo-dock without OpenGL on might help as well.

Launch xfwm4-tweaks-settings and go to Compositor tab, uncheck Show shadows under dock windows option.

Or:

xfconf-query -c xfwm4 -p /general/show_dock_shadow -n -t bool -s false

Great! It worked :)
