Desktop Environment Installation Error

It is my current goal to install FreeBSD with the KDE4 interface. I have gotten to the point where I type startx and gotten to the default incarnation of X. I have then installed KDE4 via ports and typed [cmd=]% echo "exec /usr/local/kde4/bin/startkde" > ~/.xinitrc[/cmd] as the handbook states, however, then when I startx I get a black screen with a white fuzz bar at the top, then it goes back to the command line with these errors. http://tinypic.com/r/2i7p4x/5

I don't know if it is possible to copy text from FreeBSD virtual machine to Ubuntu so I don't know how to post logfile /var/log/Xorg.0.log. I navigated to the /usr/local/kde4/bin and there is no file named startkde, there is only ksysguardd. Did an error occur during the installation of kde4? Should I try to reinstall? Perhaps compile from scratch?
