I have searched and experimented- but now hit a brick wall.
I am interested in setting up Freebsd with open/nord vpn. The success of this is based on whether https://www.dnsleaktest.com/ shows the VPN IP as opposed to my cable IP.
The VPN setup on Ubuntu seems to work perfectly. - dnsleak shows the correct VPN IP.
However with Freebsd I just can't get it to work. It always shows my cable IP. Note that the VPN is active. Because, when I run a trace route on the freebsd server, it shows that VPN is there. See step-1 below has the OpenVPN address. The problem is dnsleaktest always shows my cable company IP.
