Communication problem between "TrueNas SPICE javascript client 'VNC'" and "GNOME"

I am running FreeBSD14 in a TrueNAS Scale VM. I installed GNOME as GUI. When accessing the TrueNAS GUI via the SPICE javascript client (VNC?), I get the GNOME login screen as expected. As soon as I entered username and password, the GUI-screen appears.

However than it stops

The screen does not react any longer on the keyboard or the mouse ...
Strange thing is / note that, if I as root access the gui via xrdp accessed from my windows machine, mouse and keyboard are OK.

So something is wrong in relation keyboard/mouse via "SPICE javascript client" and the "GNOME-application".

Does any one understand what, and how to fix it?

Don't think this has anything to do with the display server. Moved it to "Emulation and virtualization" as it might be due to some interaction with the virtualized mouse/keyboard input and the virtual (VNC) console.

Have you asked on the TrueNAS forums? TrueNAS itself is not supported here.

No, I did not yet, since I think that it is FreeBSD related. I think that, because I does work up to the moment GNOME becomes active / I pass the login screen.

Never the less I must admit that there are some Truenas SPICE related issues noted in the TrueNas community and I did add my feelings related to those there ;)

As you perhaps noticed, I did split my "FreeBSD VM-issues / questions" in a couple of smaller parts. Hoping they are easier to answer. I would appreciate I you could make the effort, to read them. Most severe is that, I do not manage to get xrdp running for normal users (it does work for root). I am afraid that there is an issue under the hood, I can not fix / work around.
