Example A

<https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=beadm&sektion=1&manpath=FreeBSD+13.0-RELEASE+and+Ports>
  • currently exists
  • [MAN=1]beadm[/MAN] – beadm(1) currently finds the FreeBSD 13.0-RELEASE and Ports page, should find nothing
  • [PMAN=1]beadm[/PMAN] – beadm(1) currently finds the FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE and Ports page, should not find a page for an end of life release.
Example B

<https://www.freebsd.org/cgi/man.cgi?query=beadm&sektion=8&manpath=FreeBSD+13.0-RELEASE+and+Ports>
  • currently exists
  • [MAN=8]beadm[/MAN] – beadm(8) currently finds the FreeBSD 13.0-RELEASE and Ports page, should find nothing
  • [PMAN=8]beadm[/PMAN] – beadm(8) finds nothing, should find a manual page.
Since PMAN is for manual pages for ports, I assume that MAN is intended to exclude pages for ports.

Example A is unusual, but good for now; the page might (properly) disappear after the bug below is fixed.

I'm crafting my content to avoid inappropriate links.

Is someone silently editing my content and not telling me?
