Change mail sender domain only for root cron jobs?

Hi,

Is it possible to change the domain used for mail sent by cron jobs only? I would like to use a dedicated domain, for which I would add an appropriate SPF record, without "validating" everything else that may be sent from the server.
MAILFROM is not what I need, as it only sets the From header.
