We’re so excited to announce that the online version of the FreeBSD 30th Anniversary special edition of the FreeBSD Journal will be available on Monday, Jun 19, 2023 – Just in time to celebrate FreeBSD’s 30th Anniversary!

The content for the issue is exceptional. The editorial board definitely outdid themselves. Inside you’ll find stories from long-time FreeBSD community members such as Poul-Henning Kamp, Greg Lehey, and Doug Rabson. Kirk McKusick discusses the secrets to FreeBSD’s success and Hiroki Sato takes a look back at the history of FreeBSD in Japan. Those are just a few of the intriguing stories you’ll find inside. Plus, a PDF of the timeline poster is included. It’s perfect for printing out and hanging on your wall.

Because of the momentous occasion, you’ll also find this issue available in print at upcoming events attended by the Foundation. In fact, those who attended BSDCan last month got a sneak peek.

Your support of the Foundation is what allows us to continue to produce this free publication. Thank you!

We hope you’ll enjoy the special edition of the Journal as much as we have. Be sure to share with friends and colleagues and please considering donating to the Foundation to ensure we can continue to provide the FreeBSD Journal at no cost to you!
