Solved Can't open a TTY from a graphical interface, returns drmDropMaster error

I am not able to open a tty while in my graphical environment. (i3 WM) I've looked over this forum and other places and I haven't seen anyone with the same exact issue as me.
Alt + Ctrl + #
This just changes my screen to a myriad of different colors and does not bring up a tty. From /var/log/Xorg.0.log, this is the output when trying to switch to a tty.
Code:
[ 1071.818] (II) AIGLX: Suspending AIGLX clients for VT switch
[ 1071.818] (WW) intel(0): drmDropMaster failed: Unknown error: -22
[ 1073.025] (II) AIGLX: Resuming AIGLX clients after VT switch

I don't receive any messages in /var/log/dmesg or /var/log/messages. I do not have an xorg.conf file in /usr/local/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d or /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d. I am using FreeBSD 10.1. If there is any more information I should add let me know.
