Can't load i915kms: unsupported file type

Hello, I've recently re-installed FreeBSD on my ThinkPad T14 and suddenly X11 stopped working.
I've installed the graphics/drm-kmod package and enabled the i915kms module but when the kernel tries to load the module it says

link_elf_obj: symbol ppsratecheck undefined
linker_load_file: /boot/modules/i915kms.ko - unsupported file type

and fails. Does anyone know how to solve?

Most likely cause, module is out of sync with the kernel. What version of FreeBSD did you install?

I'm using 14.0-CURRENT, it's the only one working on my laptop because of a bug in 13.1-RELEASE.
I have to note that I was already using 14.0-CURRENT on this machine before and the same driver was working well.

oh sorry, sadly I can only use CURRENT since the wifi, audio and acpi drivers don't work on RELEASE

is there a way to remove the files created in /boot/modules? or do they get replaced?

Had the same problem on my 14-current. Compile and install the port graphics/drm-510-kmod from ports.

compiled the module from ports, works fine. Thanks for the help!
