Can we please have a forum for LLMs/AI topics?

AI posts not being confined into some sort of space on the forums is starting to detract from the forums in general. I almost feel it'd serve the forums well if there was an entire category "AI" with its own Off-topic, Development, Ports, Security...
Agreed that it has no concrete relation to FreeBSD but l think ignoring demand is a bad idea. AI, hype or not, is significant computer tech with influence in the area of operating systems. If there's an abnormal level of users searching for FreeBSD/AI subjects and development, commerce will take a walk with the unanswered part of the user base. Do we want that?

Here is a video of some of the latest developments in artificial intelligence.

It has been there a long time. I read European computer books long ago, It was about ADA and Lisp and some theoretical reasoning system. Didn't understand much of it, too young. Later I saw an industrial production line with a sensor network and a somehow intelligent program to find the cause of a disrupton faster with experience data.

Maybe if we get a dedicated section in the forum, @Trihexagonal will reappear and bring back Demonica? We all know that she was the genesis LLM.

A small sample is provided in this post.

Much of their content has been scrubbed from this forum because Demonica became too intelligent and we became frightened**

As an AI my answers are probabilistic, the one above is 50% right - 50% wrong. The choice is yours Neo.

AI is not a FreeBSD topic. AI can be found in many FreeBSD topics, so I think it's not a good idea to add many sub forums about AI ?

It’s what industry talks about all the time for better or for worse. I think the BSD community just keeps on keeping on through the years and develop what keeps BSD BSD.

Maybe in a century FreeBSD base system will be written entirely in Rust hehe

Likely the next generation of juniors will be querying why its not re-written in MegaLang2126.
And that FreeBSD is *still* dying because the masses aren't interested in C.

Of course the Linux kernel will be an eclectic mess of C, Rust and MegaLang2126 bindings.

Nah, in a hundred years there will be >1k additional new languages.
The purpose of each also will be to avoid C, because this didn't actually worked with any former language so far.
And each and every one will be way better than any other language before, above all C, until a new and better language comes out. At least twenty ones will be hyped as the one and only from now on everything has to be programmed in only, while they still not really satisfy convincingly.
At Rust noses were turned up: "What? Rust?! Where you are from?! If you must punish yourself use C++38F462!"
Or there will be some metalanguage, needed to better write in a macrolanguage code which is needed to write unmistakenable texts for telling the LLM to write correct programs....
But then C will still be there - if AI will not really work, like today.
If one day AI works, there will be no programming languages at all anymore.
For what?
Operating systems are not needed anymore, when there are no programs to run anymore. For what you need programs when you have a working AI? To write texts? AI does it. But texts are not needed at all anymore. Who shall and wants to read texts written by AI? AI? Pointless.
Create videos, create music, design machines, design "art", to do any planning... everything is done by AI. So, no extra software needed anymore. For creating presentations? Presented to who? When AI knows it all nobody needs to learn anything. And when nobody needs to learn anything anymore, nobody needs to teach anything anymore.
All you need then is a browser running bare metal as a terminal to connect to AI.
And lots of drugs. What you wanna do with all your life time then, when everything is done by computers? "Enjoy life", sure. How? Like today, feeding the cloud with your smartphone? With what? AI created stuff? For who? AI? Creating music, art, or what, if AI does it?
If humans don't have anything to do of somehow even remote purpose, humans get bored. When humans are bored for to long they become crazy. And crazy humans tend to do insane things.
