Can USB be restarted when it hangs?

I would be happy to know a way to restart USB when it hung.

Hanging can be caused by errors with USB sticks, mice etc.
This leads to the complete port hanging, that is, all two to four USB connectors at the rear or the front.
And it is quite annoying, as the only way I know to make the ports work again is to reboot.

Is possible to do some service usb_blahblah restart ?

You can detach the driver and attach it again if your xhci or ehci or uhci device is pci. You lose your usb keyboard in between so type in one command
