PF Can the firewall block the threats caused by router vulnerabilities?

Hello everyone,

Can routers with vulnerabilities bypass the firewall and communicate with each other without being detected and blocked? For router vulnerabilities or "backdoors", can the firewall work?

If the firewall's host chip has hardware vulnerabilities or "backdoors", the firewall does not work for them?

Thanks.

That depends on how good (or bad) the firewall is configured.

If "they" managed to get this deep into your firewall don't you think they would also be able to hide their activities?

For clarity, how do you propose these hardware vulnerabilities are going to be implemented to exploit the backdoors on your machine?

Edit: I may have mistaken you for meaning something akin to Intel vulnerabilities on the box, but please do elaborate for my denseness.
