Solved Bootloader not properly shown in my screen

Hello everybody,

I attached a picture of the bootloader when it is booted from the cdrom and from the hard disk later after finishing the installation of FreeBSD. You could clearly see the missing lines at the top of the screen.

I feel like the boot loader is changing to the wrong video resolution, am I right ?

Could someone tell me how can I fix this ?

Best regards,

Are you running vt(4) as console? If not, you could try it.
Not sure it would work since this is before the kernel has loaded and all.

It seems to be something with my graphic card :
Code:
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Cedar [Radeon HD 5000/6000/7350/8350 Series]

I see the same problem with Debian distro, I really recommend to add an option to the bootloader to do not change the screen configuration or it is already possible to do that ?

It's probably not the resolution, is this a monitor with VGA? If so hit the "Auto Adjust" button on your monitor. Sometimes VGA screens are misaligned.

SirDice, you were completely right, my monitor seems to save a configuration for each resolution, I did reset and everything is fine now.. thanks :)
