I'm doing work for a company that sells a FreeBSD based network appliance.
Wifi is not a big part of their business, and the card/chipset they had been selling hit end of life.
I've recently ported their kernel modifications forward to a FreeBSD 15.0 based kernel.
From what I've seen, it looks like iwlwifi and ath (especially if access point mode is required) are the best driver choices
Solid, reliable hardware and driver (minimum support headaches), and something that won't go end of life tomorrow.
Thanks in Advance for any pointers!
