Banging my head against a rock...

Hello,

I am running FreeBSD 13 and I have been trying to mount various shares hosted on my Ubuntu Linux SAMBA server with no luck...

Not to sure what to provide in details but I am more than willing to provide...

Thanks in advance...

FreeBSD smb implementation only supports smbv1, not sure this old protocol is still supported by modern samba.

... and if it is, it should be disabled, because it is inherently insecure.

If possible, it's best to use NFS (v3 or v4 depending on your requirements) instead. If for some reason, SMB must be used, there are some fuse-based solutions in ports.
