Other Bad magic number in super-block

I'm trying to backup a 10GB ext4 partition on a USB stck, but can't access it. I managed to back up all the other partitions without prorblem.

fsck.ext4 -c /dev/da1p7:-

Code:
e2fsck 1.47.0 (5-Feb-2023)
ext2fs_open2: Bad magic number in super-block
fsck.ext4: Superblock invalid, trying backup blocks...
fsck.ext4: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/da1p7

The superblock could not be read or does not describe a valid ext2/ext3/ext4
filesystem. If the device is valid and it really contains an ext2/ext3/ext4
filesystem (and not swap or ufs or something else), then the superblock
is corrupt, and you might try running e2fsck with an alternate superblock:
    e2fsck -b 8193 <device>
 or
    e2fsck -b 32768 <device>

I tried e2fsck -b [8193 | 32768] but this made no difference.

Is any recovery possible?

Are you sure it's a ext2/3/4 filesystem? The superblock errors seem to suggest it isn't. If it's from an existing Linux install, could it be an LVM PV/VG/LV?

It's a while since I created it, but suspect I created an ext2/3/4 partition from a FreeBSD partition.

it shows 'data'... Not very informative....

After trying sysutils/testdisk, was unable to garner any useful information, although I did use it to create a image.dd of the partition, which on examination I found some references to clonezilla, so I guess it must have been a partition with Clonezilla installed.
