But then it stops.
Is powered by usb.
So i pull the pull & restart :

pulseaudio -k
pulseaudio --start

But even

gives nothing.

Is freebsd audio driver failing ?
Any advice ?

I suggest remove pulseaudio completely, and use native OSS. Eliminate pulse as a possible source of problems. Same goes for pipewire if you have that installed. I have been using native oss for months with zero problems, with a bunch of different usb dacs. Things like cmus, mpd and mpv will work straight out of the box. The only thing you need to remember is to set the firefox backend to oss to get sound playback from the browser. The same works in waterfox if you're using that; as follows:-

about:config, then
create 'media.cubeb.backend' if it does not already exist, and set it to the string 'oss'. That's it.

Oh.. if you want a mixer for oss, try audio/mixertui.

Also: set hw.snd.default_auto=2 to have auto-setup working when you plug in/pull out the adapter.

I found oss is very reliable and has excellent sound quality. Pulseaudio and pipewire are simply not needed.
 
Thing is device dies , even without pulse or pipewire. And re-doing power does not help. Only rebooting. So i think something in FreeBSD Drivers.
You cannot go more basic then this,
cat /dev/random > /dev/dsp9
 
Does your behringer card have xmos usb interface chip? There are known problems with xmos. It's the usb interface chip, rather than the dac itself.
