Hello all,
I ran into this issue in the past couple of days on an aarch64 install of 14-STABLE. Bear just keeps spawning new processes, it eventually fails and core dumps, but that takes a significant amount of time. In searching for possible causes I found this. There are good details in the post as to the reasons and when it occurred.

I just wanted to pass it along in case anyone else runs into it.
Regards,
Roger
