I'm in the process of putting together a multiboot rescue disk using Grub as the boot manager. My aim is to be able to use the disk with both x32 and x64 systems and will be including options for running on either. One thing I was wondering about is whether Grub can tell which system it is running on and display options in its menu appropriate to the system. ie
if x64 display option FreeBSD amd64
else nothing
There are a large number of modules in /boot/grub/i386-pc and I've no idea what any of them do... Maybe there is a x64 system tester program...
