Solved After so much time using FreeBSD i was so confused with setting the default soundcard

Made a new installation on a ssd , installed everything , firefox worked for some reason anyway.
Opened the mixer saw the sound devices i wanted to use the last one with the number 3.
Somehow i though that its the 4th device and not 3rd so i must set the number 4 as default_unit.
vlc , mpv had no sound at all !
It took me some minutes to realize i have selected the wrong sound device number.
 
As the originator of the thread, you can edit your post to mark it solved. I think you edit the title and there's a drop down box. It's useful to others, because someone might, a year or more from now, be having sound trouble, do a web search, and find the thread, noting it's solved, and from your problems, figure out their own solution.
