Hello Everyone:
After searching the forums I am unsure if this is the correct place for this. If I am in error would someone kindly point me in the right direction. Thank you.
I am migrating form a 7 year old Acer laptop, FreeBSD13.2p2 running EDA software to a new Acer laptop. The issue is the wired Ethernet driver which identifies as Realtek 2600. As you can see from dmesg WiFi is running ok.
Here I have attached dmesg for this laptop along with pciconf -lcvv. Win 11 identifies this Ethernet hardware as Intel, Ubuntu 22.04 as Realtek (both are booting and running on the same machine without issues).
The following lines are in loader.conf (module updated form https://www.freshports.org/net/realtek-re-kmod/)
if_re_load="YES"
if_re_name="/boot/modules/if_re.ko"
Does FreeBSD 13 or current support this wired Ethernet?
Many Thanks
Shingy
