Hi all,

I have been scouring the Interwebs for a commandline-based stock ticker or a script that can pull prices on an automatic or manual basis. The links that I came across all referenced using curl and pulling from Yahoo and Google, both of which disabled this functionality back around 2015 or so.

Might anyone have any ideas as to the existence of a tool or another way of displaying information on stocks and commodities by symbol?

Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

ticker.sh

This works for me.

Code:
$ ./ticker.sh UAL [United Airlines]
UAL          34.11      2.61     (8.29%) *

$ ./ticker.sh NFLX DIS NYT [Netflix Disney NewYorkTimes]
NFLX        371.93      1.21     (0.33%) *
DIS         105.50      1.00     (0.96%) *
NYT          30.60     -0.13    (-0.42%) *

Wow, thank you so much!
