Solved 11.2 installation media infinite loop on boot

I'm trying to install 11.2 on an HP Pavilion G6 laptop. I've tried both CD and USB install media, using appropriate image for each, both with the exact same issue. It gets stuck in an infinite loop at aprobe1:ahcich1 ATAPI_IDENTIFY, retrying this ad infinitum. Attached is screenshots of where this occurs. Needless to say, I can't get to the actual install phase.
Sha512 sum passes on both the downloaded images and install media. Also, OtherOS, OpenBSD, Haiku, etc, all boot and install fine on this bare hardware. I've installed FreeBSD on other bare hardware in the past with no issue. I'm stumped.
Check if it's possible to disable the CD drive in BIOS, and retry with USB media.
Unfortunately, that feature is unavailable in my BIOS. I completed a BIOS update, (your suggestion gave that click in my head that this might work) which pooched my Windows install (good riddance.) No change in being able to disable the DVD drive. FreeBSD does boot now. Thankfully, Haiku and OpenBSD also still work.

Thank you. Resolution: Update BIOS solved issue.
