Heads-up: MySQL default Version will switch to 8.0

Unfortunately, this is not the case: .if ( ${OPSYS} == FreeBSD && ${OSVERSION} >= 1400092 && ${SSL_DEFAULT} == base ) || ${SSL_DEFAULT:Mopenssl3*} IGNORE= Upstream only supports OpenSSL 1.0.1 upto 1.1.X This is for MySQL 5.7.44, the last one that will be in the ports tree for the 5.7 family...

Solved (New user) How to add a commit to a port (xorg-server) ?

That's correct; one more post and you'll have more options. As soon as you clear 10 posts and 10 days of membership (both), your posts are no longer held for moderation, for example.

Heads-up: MySQL default Version will switch to 8.0

It is my understanding that there will be a final 5.7.43 port that can work with SSLv3 (5.7.42, the current version, certainly will not).

Solved public visibility of profile page

Viewing other members' profiles (provided these members allow viewing of their profiles, which is always their own choice) is already limited to Verified Members (10 approved posts and 10 days of membership under their belts), so an anonymous scraper has not much to scrape other than the public...

Solved public visibility of profile page

Your call. I'll happily put it back on 'Never' if you are the only one who wants this. The topic will just stay here for future reference in case someone else might want to have a public profile page (which, in times of a dozen social media with global reach and no barrier to entry, seems...

Solved public visibility of profile page

Note that Profile Posts are not part of the public view, only your 'about' section and your forum posts ('Postings'). The reason for this distinction is simple: people may want to write something on your profile and know that it cannot be disclosed publicly.

Solved public visibility of profile page

It took a bit of digging around, but we had the profile visibility set to 'Never' for anyone who's not a member - purely logical from a privacy POV, and no one ever wanted their profile publicly visible that I can remember. I have set that option to 'Yes', which means that a guest or...

    Mail server migration to O365

So far as I know, O365 uses IMAP to read mailboxes on other servers. SO, set up IMAP on the server containing the mailboxes, and tell O365 the server location and the credentials to use.

    Pkg?

Also, your use-case is not exactly a general use-case. The GhostBSD developers may have the answer. Closed here.

Share your NetBSD experience (for FreeBSD users)

So long as this thread stays comparative within the BSD world and doesn't a) devolve into a 100% NetBSD-centric topic and b) doesn't become a "Why doesn't FreeBSD have this?", we'll allow it.
