    Asus E35M1-I temperature monitoring?

Same problem here. Running 8.2 stable and need to know the temperature. If it doesn't work on 8.2 is there another solution? I think to apply the patch you have to use the 'patch' command. The problem is that I can't find the original amdtemp.c file to be patched. Any news on this?

    Jailed PXE server

Hi all! I'm trying to build a PXE server using 3 jails: - the first jail contains the DHCP server - the second jail contains the FTP server - the third jail contains TFTP/NFS and the files needed for a PXE install. The first two jails are working fine but I've encountered a problem when...

    Scripting sysinstall

I have another question: what if I have a custom kernel? Currently I can automatically install (through the network - PXE) the minimal version taken from the standard FreeBSD 8.2 ISO. How and where (in the FTP server) should I add my custom kernel so that the network install takes it into...

    Installing Warden on FreeBSD 8.2

It seems to work! :) Just got to find a way to put it in the Apps Menu but that won't be hard. Thanks very much!

    Installing Warden on FreeBSD 8.2

Well, as I feared, after compiling this port I realized there isn't a front-end. It is made for PC-BSD.. :( I can probably run it in a terminal but this isn't what I was looking for then. Or am I missing something?

    Installing Warden on FreeBSD 8.2

Sometimes FreeBSD ports don't have front-ends but ok, makes sense to me. Thanks for the reply!

    Installing Warden on FreeBSD 8.2

Hi all! I came across the Warden port (http://www.freshports.org/sysutils/warden/) and was wondering if it works on xorg + xfce in FreeBSD. Since it was designed for PC-BSD I'm not sure. I think it should because PC-BSD is based on FreeBSD but I could be wrong. :) Any thoughts? Thanks...

    Scripting sysinstall

Thanks for your reply! I actually found what was missing: a shutdown command at the end of the install.cfg. After the installation process the country selection screen appears if we don't shutdown/restart the machine. :)

    Scripting sysinstall

Hi everyone! I'm installing FreeBSD 8.2 over the network and am trying to script sysinstall. This way the installation is fully automatic. Everything works fine until the country selection screen pops-up and manual intervention is necessary. I have looked in the man pages and forums but...

Custom FreeBSD-update-server - creating a custom OS image

Hi I'm trying to create my own FreeBSD-update-server (http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/cvsweb.cgi/projects/freebsd-update-server/) so that I can automatically update all the machines on my network to the latest customized version of FreeBSD. The custom version is simply a minimal install, a...

    DHCPv6 - dhclient

I think the dhclient I'm using with the -6 option is the ISC one (located in /usr/local/sbin). The base dhclient does not take that option as you mentioned. From what I understand, you can configure IPv6 addresses in two ways: - stateless : no DHCP to assign addresses. IP addresses are built...

    DHCPv6 - dhclient

[Solved] Thanks but that was not the problem! I was trying to set up DHCPv6 stateful, therefore rtsol had nothing to do with it since I'm not using autoconfiguration. The problem is that my system was using dhclient located in /sbin and should've been using the dhclient in...

    DHCPv6 - dhclient

Hi everyone! I'm trying to assign IPV6 addresses on my network with dhcpd. I have a freebsd machine acting as a dhcp server and it is working well : a windows client gets its IPv6 address from the server. But I can't get a freebsd client to get its address. I'm wondering if dhclient...
