    I just did, but nothing happened, same thing as before. But before I save the file, it asked me if want to detach hard links before saving, I didn't, so maybe that was it. This one doesn't work either.

    That was it, /var/log/messages shows 60 C, but why is that happen, I compiled lots of programs under linux, and it never happened, of course cooling system worked harder and louder, but that was it. In this case I didn't hear anything unusual. That's why I didn't expect overheat.

    I just tried to install xfce4, and after a while system just shut itself down. What might be the cause of that?. Doe's anyone experienced similar problem ?.

    I haven't change anything in firewall, so everything should be fine. It's a fresh install. It started to happen when I changed flags to immutable, but problem remains even after I changed that back.

    resolv.conf question

    I'm not sure what's going on now, but after 3 min nothing works, no internet, terminal doesn't react to anything, even after I logout from kde, any command doesn't work and there is nothing I can do but restart the system. and then I have another 3 min.

    Is there any other way, than change flag, to prevent resolv.conf from being overwritten constantly. Is there something like DHCP_KEEPRESOLV[0]="yes"

    where is xorg.conf

    Yes, x11/nvidia-xconfig, x11/nvidia-settings already installed. Also made some changes to xorg.conf and it works, mouse problem solved by adding hald_enable="YES" and dbus_enable="YES" to rc.conf. So far it's all good. Thank you for help

    Yes I did, but I think I missed something because kde is so damn slow, impossible to work with.

    I reinstall the whole system, so I can't check that anymore, but I think it was -2. I did change the security level, so I think that what it was. I was able to configure xorg finally, but it's so slow, and usb mouse doesn't work. Thanks for your help

    I have a problem with xorg, I installed nvidia drivers, but there is no /etc/x11/xorg.conf, and Xorg -configure gives me error "No devices to configure. Configuration failed.
