Finally a Network Manager for FreeBSD!

I updated the port yesterday to 6.4, and it contains a lot of changes. Static IP can not be set from NetworkMgr. I have reworked all the NetworkMgr dead files. It should be more stable.

Is there a real interest in pushing FreeBSD on the desktop space?

Sometimes, you must let it go and let people discover why FreeBSD is as it is. Also, you never know if someone could add an option in bsdconfig. There would be no need for separate ISO. I think FreeBSD that boots to a desktop would be a waste of time.

Is there a real interest in pushing FreeBSD on the desktop space?

It is your opinion. But it will not be trivial for a desktop version because no one will agree on one desktop. I have experience with this. GhostBSD is suffering from trying to be one DE; the XFCE only exists because someone makes it work in the community. I have often been asked for a Gnome3...

Ah, I was not aware of that.

    Does NomadBSD use it?

Is there a real interest in pushing FreeBSD on the desktop space?

I do not think I would like to see graphical FreeBSD because FreeBSD is more than just a desktop OS, and it takes less than 30 minutes to set up one, including the installation time of FreeBSD. Also, I do not like the idea of GhostBSD to become FreeBSD Desktop. One thing I am sure of is that...

Is there a real interest in pushing FreeBSD on the desktop space?

Being the guy behind GhostBSD I do agree. There are some times that some issues people bring me that it is not reproducible and figured they did some changes or changed the DE. I only garanty that MATE will work as expected.

Is there a real interest in pushing FreeBSD on the desktop space?

Maybe for desktops, but not laptops, and regarding Wifi support, FreeBSD has been behind for about 10 years, if not more. As the GhostBSD creator, I will defer from your answer. FreeBSD may have many desktop environments but lacks one desktop/laptop support, especially on the WiFi support. I do...

Switching from GhostBSD to FreeBSD - state of ports

That someone was me Yesterday morning. I always did a backup before upgrading Drupal, and for the first time, I did not do it, and everything has gone sought. My fear of upgrading without doing a backup just got amplified 100 times. GhostBSD needs to move to a static website, but I have no...

Switching from GhostBSD to FreeBSD - state of ports

Regarding GhostBSD, I build the packages from https://github.com/ghostbsd/ghostbsd-ports which contain all the same ports as https://github.com/freebsd/freebsd-ports plus our OS and GhostBSD specific ports. GhostBSD builds the OS packages from ports. GhostBSD ports tree is synced from FreeBSD...

    certbot suddenly fails

Yeah, it is weird that it started to fail without any package updates. Anyway, I have deleted the certificate and created one that does not use Apache.

    certbot suddenly fails

I have the same problem with forums.ghostbsd.org. I never got that in the past and Apache, PHP, and Certbot were not updated on that jail.

Solved There is no obs-studio on freebsd 14 - I've build it succesfully from the ports

With adding CFLAGS= -Wno-int-conversion to the port. The incompatible integer to pointer conversion error is now -Wint-conversion by default in llvm.

Solved How to recored audio from Game on FreeBSD.

    So what I am doing is to send back the audio to my default dsp with -P /dev/dsp3 so there is no audio lag. sudo virtual_oss -Q 0 -C 2 -c 2 -r 48000 -b 16 -s 1024 -P /dev/dsp3 -R /dev/null -w vdsp.wav -l dsp I did run pacat /dev/vdsp.wav and with pavucontrol I set the virtual to ouput at...
