excuse me cuz i'm noob im trying PCBSD for the first time, using 9.1RC1, have the same problem with brightness fn keys. I've followed this workarounds, and tried to install xbrightness, but don't know how. App cafe doesn't contain it, and /usr/ports/ doesn't exist in my 9.1RC1 installation...
