    Problem in 11.2 with texinfo

Thank you, this solved my issue as well. Guess my ports were just out of date.

    Firefox sound latency

Same issue here as well. Definitely seems dependent on the libraries or something (I don't know exactly where the problem is). When I use Opera I personally do not have issues with sound latency.

    LibreOffice port fails on upgrade.

I just installed this with GCC and all went well. I was using the cflags -O0 -funroll-loops -pipe I compiled it on amd64. I had some build error but it was not for the libreoffice main package it was for a dependency of it. Changing the -O2 to -O0 fixed it in my case. Sorry this post isn't...

    Installing LibreOffice

My ports are up to date and I tried to install LibreOffice today from editors/libreoffice but I get a build error code 1 on the dependency science/hdf5-18. The error I am receiving is here below. H5Zscaleoffset.c: At top level: H5Zscaleoffset.c:1724: internal compiler error: in...

    [howto] Minimal FreeBSD desktop

This was the command that I couldn't remember earlier that I tried but was returned an error. I will try to execute it again when I get home without HAL running to see if it works and if not what the error I received was. Thanks for the post wblock

    [howto] Minimal FreeBSD desktop

I would have but I could not get it to work. I never knew there was a # mount_cd9660 /dev/cd0 /mnt command so I will try that when I get home and if it is successful I will remove HAL.

    [howto] Minimal FreeBSD desktop

Thanks, been loving the setup so far. I tried the # mount command and threw it the type cd9660, I know I tried a manual mount, but I received an error message. I will try the command you listed when I get home though. I am pretty sure the mount command I tried was based on the handbooks command...

    [howto] Minimal FreeBSD desktop

Last night I said screw it, YOLO, and recompiled x11-servers/xorg-server to have HAL support, added dbus_enable="YES" and hald_enable="YES" to my /etc/rc.conf, and restarted X/ started HAL. Worked like a charm. I was watching my DVD "Harold And Kumar" in no time. When I made the post I was...

    ArchBSD

I have personally been following ArchBSD updates since I saw Amzo or someone with the same name, talk about the project in the ArchLinux forums. I hail the idea, I think it is great and a way to make use of the BSD licenses while still keeping a vanilla FreeBSD approach. Can't wait to see the...

    H.264 Video's

I have been having the worst issues with Firefox running H.264 videos. They seem to just disappear and freeze the web browser. I think I installed the H.264 or Webm codec through the KDE 4.9.5 port but am not sure. Everything on the computer is currently using ports. The codec provided with...
