You can use the Apple Files app to transfer from any shared device (my photos are stored on a FreeNAS share) to the iPad and then use one of the methods from the above thread to put them in the photos. Or alternatively, open the photo while in...
I am using ipf on a machine running FreeBSD 13.0 (RELEASE-p5 #0 releng/13.0-2646dd665: Mon Jan 3 08:34:08 CST 2022). I am attempting to update the ipf rules using address pools but have an error that I cannot find a solution for.
From the man page ippool an address pool can be defined either...
No. I don't know what the ups expects and didn't want to send the wrong thing i.e. potentially modify something without knowing it. If you have a suggestion, I would like to give it a try.

Thanks for the help. I am following your example and throwing these out too. I looks like, even if I could get these to work, they might not be reliable down the road. So I ordered a replacement and I'll see how it goes when it gets here.

After a quick comparison of the trace output from the runs. The differences all look reasonable until the difference in the result of the select on line 263. Is that the timing problem you referred to?

I ran the trace for the working (cuaU0) and non-working (cuaU1) devices and put the output in pastebin. The files are apcsmart cuaU0 and apcsmart cuaU1.
I don't know enough to understand them but it seems like they should show what fails and when.

I have tried connecting them directly to the computer, to a powered hub, and to an unpowered hub. The results were the same regardless of the connection. I think the power requirement is 96mA - usbconfig shows the following for the unpowered hub and the adapters.

Hello,
I am trying to connect 4 serial devices to a new install of FreeBSD 12.2 using CH340 USB to serial adapters. The boot display for all 4 show the same information (except for unit address of course).

rkhunter causes the problem for me.
It was stable running daily on 12.1p10 but uses all available memory and swap space since upgrading to 12.2.
The problem is listed as Bug 250929 -
Hi all,
I am trying to install ceph from the package on a clean install of FreeBSD v11.1 updated to p4.

Thanks for that. It identified the packages that were requiring the reinstall of perl 5.20. The problem actually had nothing to do with cpan and the install of DBD::mysql or the programs that I had installed from ports.
As you pointed out, packages reference the default version of a program at...
Yes - I used /usr/local/sbin/cpan to install DBD::mysql.
I had installed:
#pkg install -g mysql57*
#pkg install p5-DBI
but when I tried to install DBD::mysql it removed mysql57.
#pkg install p5-DBD-mysql

Thanks for that explanation. I typically update only those packages that have notices of security vulnerabilities. So the explanation prompts the obvious question - how can I figure out which package is requiring the reload of perl 5.20?
I looked at /etc/make.conf and DEFAULT_VERSIONS when I...

When updating perl to 5.24 I checked /usr/ports/UPDATING. The only relevant portion of the file I could find was:

Hi,
I am running amd 10.3 release that has been updated to p19 using freebsd-update. All of the applications that have packages have been installed using pkg install and updated using pkg upgrade. perl was initially installed at perl5-5.20.3_8 and has been upgraded through several versions to...
Hi,
(Revised post)
I am trying to connect an Insteon 2413U USB modem to a system running FreeBSD 10.0 release P9 (i386). It is a serial device with an integrated USB-to-serial converter from FTDI. I first tried to simply attach it to an available USB port. It seemed to error without giving...
This may be to the wrong forum. But now that IPNAT is working, I have found another problem. It appears to be ongoing and has been discussed in at least these threads:
