[PC-BSD] Directory permissions between ubuntu and PC-BSD under NFS

I'm of the opinion that I have to have both boxes set up as client and server? Is that correct? What i've done is to include the -maproot=root:wheel option on the exports file of the pc-bsd box. And I've exported the file system -rw. That should help. And I've noticed I do have a problem with...

[PC-BSD] Directory permissions between ubuntu and PC-BSD under NFS

So I have two boxes set up. An ubuntu box, gladys, and a PC-BSD box, wilbur. On both boxes I sign in as dan, typical user, sysadmin, etc. I have wilbur as the NFS server and gladys fits nicely as the NFS client. Xorg -configure command not found

Xorg -configure I tried that just the other day and got the same results. Turns out I had to use the full path to the executable to get it to work. /usr/local/bin/Xorg -configure .... Worked just fine.

    xmms on 8.2-release , amd64

xmms works fine under 8.2... What I've done is to use a package add command on tunapie and that drags xmms along. Currently I'm running 8.2-release and xmms-1.2.11_14. Not sure which version is in the ports.

    Tunapie isn't running under 8.2 .

I had to do a complete reinstall and got tunapie working with a package add command. My bad. I must have mucked something up in the upgrade from rc3 to 8.2-release....

    Firefox web browser tuning help

You might also want to try a pkill npviewer.bin at the command prompt to see if that helps resolve the problem. Just my 2 cents.
