I have a file ~ed/temp/templist.txt containing single line (it will contain many, but for examle its only one):

This driver is ported from linux. My problem is that it needs some parameters that can be set on linux but not on freebsd.

look at the boot.ini file on the winxp drive
there should be something like this
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
try changing disk(0) to disk(1) or reverse
