@kdemidofff I'm running several Linux boxes in production and haven't noticed any problems with performance or stability - they simply work. While I do prefer FreeBSD on my workstation(s), I wouldn't generally state that "Linux sux". Your experiences with Linux are so bad that they crash...

Isn't vsftpd running under the ftp account and thus it doesn't have write permissions to your FTP root directory ? Just a guess...

You are sending PORT 192,168,1,5,207,230 (active mode FTP) and I if there is no proxy in the way, I barely believe the ftp server will be able to communicate with you. Read pkg_add how to switch to passive FTP and try again.

I don't like the "bsd r0x, linux sux" (or reverse) attitude. Both systems are fine, I've been using FreeBSD for 4 years, Linux for 5 years and I like both. Each has its own strengths and weaknesses, try them and see yourself. Simply ignore the kiddie "r0x/sux" groups.

So you store your mail in mailbox format and you have your user/pass information in MySQL ? Do you use webmail, outlook/thunderbird or both ? Which features of Symantec Enterprise Vault do you / would you like to use the most ?

How do you store your mail ? Maildir, mailbox, dbox, *sql database ? Which MTA and MDA do you use ?
