cracked.com often has a collection of allegedly funny tweets. Most are mediocre, but this made me laugh.
Tailgating me while I'm going 80 in a 45 zone is crazy. And those red and blue lights on top of your car look stupid.
Much as I dislike systemd (I've seen it said, though I don't have enough knowledge to comment intelligently that Poettering knew a lot about C, but nothing about system administration) in this case I don't think it can be blamed on systemd, but on government over reach. I don't know what one can...
Saw the subject and thought it was a line about the US and government attitude towards immigration. Although, now they seem to be using it to see if it distracts from Epstein.

Wow, that is high. As fernandel is in the US, it's around $780. The one I linked is AMD, 32 G RAM, (but 4 of that, by default, for GPU) 500G NVME--whereas the one I bought was 1TB, but I think drives are also getting more expensive.
The price when I bought them was in the low or mid $300 range, I think. Or maybe $379? Sorry, I really don't remember. When I look at my orders, they only show the current price. The one that I bought is now showing on Amazon for $479.

I have a friend who loves Mecha stuff. I never have. I think my favorite anime is Gintama--sometimes serious, sometimes silly--probably close to 400 episodes though, plus two live action movies, a few live action specials. To give an idea of why its humor amuses me, here's an 18 second clip...
I have 3 Beelinks, 2 running FreeBSD. It may not work with wireless during install. Had some minor issues with one of them. The boot only ISO couldn't see the wireless or the ethernet card. I used the disk1 ISO, and that saw the wireless. It was an AX200 which gets good speed. The ethernet is...
My wife is Apple everything, but I always went with Android because side loading was easier. At the time, I would frequently transfer epubs over--I don't know if it's still a pain with Apple or not, but at the time, side loading epub books wasn't straightforward..
I dislike both google and...
I've had the Brother multifunction MFC-L3780CDW for a few years now and though I don't use it often, it works well. At one point, I had a color inkjet HP and monotone Brother laser when I had more need for both. Brother's always served me well. I also remember at one point buying a Samsung MFC...
Just because one member criticized some of your posts, don't take it too hard. Your choices of subject are, even if sometimes, not technical, often interesting in other ways. (Speaking as another who tends to post too much about non-technical matters though). :)
I wouldn't have thought of Muir first, either, (though I was thinking USA, not just CA). And no, I never realized the flugle horn is a tuba--I always though of it as a sort of trumpet, or maybe French horn. I think it was used in the Who's Tommy, though when I saw them perform it at Fillmore...
Agreed, (stops to add a like to hruodr's post). I've avoided HP for many years now, and I'm sure, that like any other vendor specific program, they add a lot of unneeded cruft.
@drhowardfine, I got a Motorola Edge which at the time was said to not have a lot of the junk. I don't use it for anything but texting and as an e-reader (using Kindle and Nook apps) and occasional calls.
It's the Motorola Edge from 2022, it has a lot of the usual google junk on it, I've not...
sidetone, that's what that page is, equivalent from command line. All I remember is what I set up with that printer a few years ago. Using nc worked out of the box. I list what I installed to get both scanning and printing working. I didn't have to run avahi. Sane-airscan had a package message...
It looks like you could pretty easily throw together a Linux VM and put it on that. Also, it looks like there's a podman version and there's a FreeBSD podman pacakge.
I'd disagree. You're using the meaning in a different way. However, if it makes you think of native people tribes, feel free to suggest a better word, since, if you do think of it that way, I can certainly see why you'd think it a poor choice of words.. Hrrm, sect-ism? I mean, in general use...
I'm from the US, so of course, my knowledge of European history just covers basics. I did know the painter was Austrian, though Crivens, I first read your post as Mozart being Australian, which conjured up an interesting mental picture of Requiem Mass being sung with a heavy Australian accent...
vulpine, if you're loooking for a word, I'd say tribalism. Whether the group is gay, immigrants, different colored skin, or different religious beliefs, there are always people who just like to bully others. The comedian Emo Phillips once said his favorite joke that he wrote was one... in this...
CUPS can be used without a browser, and with a printer connected by USB (though I've only used network connnections for years). I'm not trying to be argumentative, and I'm sure you're correct about the non BSD part. I have a page that includes using cups without a browser (and covers CLI...
