You can't have Chromium without Google, just like you can't have "an Android" without Google. Pulling the plug to Google's servers will not undo Google's influences.

Why don't those who wait for Ladybird just help NetSurf out for the time being? It's already there, it's mature, it does not have any known madmen in its team - and it is much more portable than Ladybird.
They provide binary packages for everything nowadays, unless you change any flag (which you usually do). But for those who are into bad software, the precompiled LibreOffice surely helps, I guess.
