    PXE Booting Utilities With FreeBSD

We have couple of servers running RHEL 5.5 with KVM server. FreeBSD 7.x AMD64 installed as VM guest to run various tasks such as mail, smtp, proxy and so on on. This way we save power, and hardware costs. I was wondering if you tested automation with KVM? Thanks!

    DNS configuration mayhem

If you've your domain name, than use it. No need to get into .local stuff. Make sure your router forward ports to internal systems so that others can reach to your services. Usually, port 53, 80, 443, 22 are forwarded. Start with a simple setup and than move to complicated one.

    Mixing Jails and NFS servers

I don't see any problem for running nfs server from host. If you use drop all policy on router or pf and open only ssh; than no one can access NFS over the Internet. May be you need to provide a little more info.
