Nice to see this got resolved! I know I'm a little late with this suggestion but if you need to re-build several aspects of your system more frequently then I can highly recommend devel/ccache. When rebuilding things like llvm and/or even the world itself you are going to notice differences in...
Appreciate the feedback, especially because I've also been studying the source tree as well, came to the same conclusion but wasn't fully sure of my findings. Well, onto plan B ;) Just finished setting up DSpam and I'm just going to "ab"use the mbox as a fallback quarantine and add a macro to...
Hi gang,
So... I moved away from mbox to the Maildir format courtesy of Sendmail, procmail & Mutt; this setup works like a charm.
However... there's a problem when the MAIL environment variable it set (this defaults to /var/mail/$USER) because this will make Mutt switch to focussing on the...
It took me a while to respond because I was still (re)building my system, but... I found commit 14783ce31437709f9c5778af32f7661a52407b6d in the source tree today after my update, and it had a rather familiar name and ditto description ;)
Thanks, appreciate it very much!
I'm not very fluent with fetchmail myself but... have you tried to increase logging verbosity?
Also... tried manually specifying a protocol (referring to --sslproto)? Do you even know what protocols this mailserver supports these days, that's where I'd start...
Lessee IMAPs... something...
There are dozens of ways to set up your own repository, I even wrote a guide about doing this with Portmaster.
Most people will focus on using a port manager such as Portmaster and/or Poudriere which can then sort the whole thing out for me. But... always keep the Unix philosophy in mind which...
Hi gang!
So in case you're wondering what this is all about... I'm referring to issue 20250402 in /usr/ports/UPDATING:
New versions of glib started to require gobject-introspection as a build
dependency, while gobject-introspection requires glib to build. This forms a
dependency cycle...
Keep in mind that STABLE is essentially a developer snapshot, just a little less bleeding edge than CURRENT so... yah, anything can happen here.
(edit) => It's not uncommon for developer snapshots to go ahead in time. For example.. if you were to build CURRENT right now you'd get this...
Yes, and no... Yes, the kernel actually supports so called "slash screens" which can fully cover up the boot process. You can see as much in the kernel build configuration:
See? So if we then check /boot/defaults/loader.conf we come across this tidbit:
### Splash screen configuration...
A simple script fired up by a cronjob should be enough for that; assuming Elastic is an official process that's handled by the RC structure (rc.conf / /usr/local/etc/rc.d).
I could imagine something like this:
#!/bin/sh
# Service definition
proc=postgresql
## Main routines (don't change)...
"Preferred" is just that: personal preference. There are numerous ways to set up & maintain a repository; I myself prefer using Portmaster because it can keep my repository updated based on my installation habits. So basically... an installed and/or updated port gets both added to the system as...
I'm not doubting your actions, but still can't help ask: what's the value of your kern.maxfiles? Its default value is 64154 on 14.2 which is obviously a lot less than your current per-process limitation.
A poor 2-in-1 feature (aka: being able to "fold" the screen 180 onto the back of the keyboard).
See: while the keyboard was "folded up" many A brands didn't stop to think about... well, I dunno: disabling said keyboard and additional features?
Note: I don't have personal experience. "sorta"...
