Kodi stopped working for me about a week ago after a recent update
i think there was update for one of its dependencies
something like tinyxml, cant remember off hand
the solution is to remove Kodi and reinstall it
doas pkg remove kodi
doas pkg autoremove
doas pkg install kodi
i would recommend these wlroots applications

thats correct different Wayland compositor support different parts of the Wayland spec
and can also use different version of wlroots

but i had no issues with XWayland using dwl, labwc or Wayfire
