High problem finding memory.

Seriously need to double memory as now.
MSI backplane.
Ordered , after weeks order canceled.
Ordered twice , after weeks order canceled.
Ordered trice, Said, you order is delivered but nothing in my mailbox. Took me alot of work to prove. Deducted from my account. But nothing in mailbox.
& The price is totally not normal.
PS: I tried amazon Belgium. But if anyone has better idea, please let met know.
 
  • Use more-optimized software with lower RAM requirements :D
  • Become a E-recylcer and visit some companies :p (I don't e-recycle but most of my hardware is free decommissioned corporate stuff)
  • Disk swap might be useful (didn't help on Linux with Android compiling though)
  • Non-mainstream RAM might be cheaper (DDR3 laptop sticks)
  • Classified websites might have local sellers (Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist)
 
DDR4 still has reasonable price. And you can get 13th series Intel cpu based platform that has decent performance. If you are already on ddr5 platform, you are screwed.
 
How much is double? I have 64GB but it's kind of too much for anything except multiple vm's or memory disks. No real user application, only experimental possibilities.
 
Used bundles on ebay. Sometimes gamers dump their used stuff because they got new one. And sometimes they offer the old rig for a reasonable price. Thats how I got mine, back then I deliberately wanted a board with ECC and two sockets, and after applying enough patience I was lucky.
You need to have a solid plan what parts you can practically use (either to put in shelf as reserve or to combine into a new platform), what they are actually worth to you, and then search along.
 
CPUs are becoming rare too. All this is affecting server orders at our datacentres. Orders that took a month now require six to twelve months of lead time. Sometimes more.
 
I had orders three times on amazon for just a bit of 32GB memory SSD4. Waiting, after weeks cancelled. Not available.
Me being poor end user , not big A.I.
 
32GB DDR4 on ebay uk; is that what you're after? I'm not quite sure what you mean by "SSD4". There's lots of people selling DDR4 here, if that's what you want.

That sounds really frustrating 😕

You might want to try more reliable EU hardware stores like local computer shops or trusted sites like Alternate, LDLC, or Caseking instead of relying only on marketplaces.
Also, consider buying directly from official distributors or verified sellers to avoid delivery issues.
And if payment was taken without delivery, definitely push for a refund or dispute through your bank.
